Mateship and Cobbers in Fromelles

On the 19th July 1916, Fromelles was the setting for a terrible battle. This was the first time the Australian contingent had fought in the European theatre. Today, this peaceful village in the Weppes region still honours the memory of the soldiers who died or went missing there, some of whom were found almost a hundred years after hostilities ended.
